Brett Casper is a food expert and recognized internationally as a ‘pioneer’ in the kombucha industry. A creative tinkerer with a gift for prediction, he founded wellness brand Pure Luck® and opened NYC’s first kombucha café, all before gut health became a buzzword. He has been profiled on 3 continents and received accolades from Food & Wine, NY Magazine, Vogue and ELLE. While notably collaborating with Michelin Starred chefs, FENDI, Fresh®, Brooklyn Brewery, and Six Senses Resorts.

Once he reserved a seat on a flight, but canceled the reservation because of a bad feeling. The plane crashed and ultimately 89 people died. Had he boarded that flight, chances are, he never would have written The Political Gut. A book he spent 10 years researching, two years of which, as an Instacart Shopper. He has worked in fast food and fine dining, advertising, and managed multi-million dollar photo studios. As an artist he has worked with major luxury brands and photographed celebrities like Jay-z, Nick Jonas and Warren Buffet.

Brett was born on a farm, on a dirt road in rural New Jersey. He studied at Academy of Art University, San Francisco and did his secondary studies at School of Visual Arts in NYC. He has lived in NYC, LA, SF, Denver, Boston, Tokyo, Bangkok and currently resides in Bordeaux, France. Where he has taken up painting.
